In the period from 04th of July until 01st of September 2013 PATOS organized summer open-cinema in Smederevo. Location of the cinema was a public park, which is located next to the Smederevo Danube quay. The entire program was intended for the public, and the entrance was free.

The aim of the cinema is to enrich the leisure time of young people and to offer them a different film repertoire. In this way, we wish to point out the fact of necessity of revitalization of urban culture, so that the young have new space for interaction, which, as such, may contribute to social healing and reducing the general apathy in the society.

The repertoire was consisted of 35 films, of which there were 25 feature films, 3 documentaries and 7 animated. PATOSINEMA! was implemented as a show of films, which contain three parts. The first and the majority part is a retrospective of contemporary European film. The second part was a modern European documentary film. The third section consisted cinematography of the Asian continent (two feature films, three animated and two documentaries).

 

PATOS provided films through collaboration with numerous cultural institutions, which ceded the copyrights for movies public display. Organizations and countries participating in the program were:

During the two months of PATOSINEMA! program, cinema was visited by over 3000 people. The majority of the visits were young, aged 15-30 years.

PATOSINEMA! had a parallel program in the form of performances before the screenings, performed by PATOS actors, local break dance groups, Latin dance, manga comics...

Cinema PATOSINEM! was implemented with the financial support of the Foundation Ana & Vlade Divac. As PATOS project, PATOSINEMA! was chosen among seven best projects in the competition of 50. After the project Street of memories, this is the second PATOS project, which was implemented through this foundation.

After the first year PATOS continues the implementation of outdoor cinema PATOSINEMA!, in order to create a new meeting place of Smederevo, to promote the film and urban culture among young people.
